Why meditate? How does it work? How to do it?

Even though meditation has become popular nowadays, it can still be difficult to understand how and where to start.

This is why we propose these meditation courses in Dharma City – to introduce correct methods that directly relate meditation to our daily life.

Fall 2024:  Saturday Meditation course

with Lopön Jampa Norgyal and Lopön Tsering Gönpo

Taking place the following Saturdays from 10AM to 12:30 :

• 21 Sept, 28 Sept and 5 Oct with Lopön Jampa Norgyal.
• 9 Nov, 16 Nov and 23 Nov with Lopön Tsering Gönpo.
• 30 Nov, 7 Dec and 14 Dec with Lopön Jampa Norgyal.

There will also be a 2 days meditation retreat (details coming shortly):

• 11 and 12 Oct with Lopön Tsering Gönpo.

Meditation is a very vast subject. There exist innumerable technics and reflexions to calm and understand the mind, develop our qualities, and bring benefit to our life and to those around us. This is why our two teachers share with us their deep knowledge and experience of Buddhism, to give us meditation crucial instructions in a way that is beneficial to all, total beginners and experienced practitioners alike. The courses are divided into moments of explanations and of guided and silence meditations.

Schedule

Courses from 10h to 12h30.

Registration onsite at 9h45. 

There will be a 15-minute break at around 11h.

Possibility to eat delicious vegetarian meals onsite after the course in the Tibetan Convention Tea House

Meditation Teachers

Our teachers are greatly qualified to give these courses. They gained a vast theoretical and practical knowledge of meditation thanks to long formations in Tibet and India, and they have taught meditation to European practitioners for more than fifteen years.

Languages

The sessions will be either given directly in French, or in English/Tibetan with a French translation.

1 course : 15€

These fees help us to cover the costs of heating and electricity for the course.
