Training the mind with the
“Thirty-Seven Practices of the Bodhisattva”
Dzogchen Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche will continue teaching on 37 Bodhisattva Practices.
It will take place every Sunday, starting 22 September at 10:00 – 12:00 CET until the text is finished.
He started giving these teachings in spring and kindly agreed to continue this autumn.
It will take place in Dharma City with streaming online through teams with our usual channel.
“The practice of all the bodhisattvas is to study, reflect and meditate,
Tirelessly, both day and night, without ever straying into idleness,
In order to free oneself and others from this ocean of saṃsāra,
Having gained this supreme vessel—a free, well-favoured human life, so difficult to find”
from
Thirty Seven Practices of the Bodhisattvas (Tib. རྒྱལ་སྲས་ལག་ལེན་སོ་བདུན་མ་, gyalsé laklen so dün ma, Wyl. rgyal sras lag len so bdun ma),
an important lojong text by Gyalsé Tokmé Zangpo.
Thirty seven verses gives instructions on how to follow the bodhisattva path.
Patrul Rinpoche will comment on the text and explain the value of the bodhisattva path.
As he is known for his light and joyful style of teaching one can expect to hear clear, funny and full of wisdom examples relevant to our daily life.
